The AquaLOCK® Door is an advanced flood protection solution, developed as the successor to the highly successful AquaLOCK® Up-and-Over Garage Door. Designed for maximum flood resilience, it seamlessly integrates robust water defense with architectural aesthetics, ensuring both functionality and visual appeal.

Certified by the European Association for Flood Protection (EVH), AquaLOCK® doors are engineered to accommodate openings up to 1,200 mm in width and 2,300 mm in height. The standard model provides effective flood resistance against water levels up to 3,000 mm, while the reinforced variant is designed to withstand hydrostatic pressures equivalent to a 5,000 mm water column, delivering enhanced protection in high-risk flood zones.

Customizable Design and Configuration Options

The AquaLOCK® Door is available in four models (V1, V2, V3, and V6), each featuring distinct flood protection activation methods, with options for both internal and external operation. These models also offer multiple locking configurations to suit various security and operational requirements. Customization options include:
  • 213 RAL colors
  • Stainless steel applications
  • Wood cladding
  • Integrated light strips

For larger openings, additional fixed panels can be added to seal the top or sides, providing a comprehensive solution.

Certified Flood Protection

  • Water Resistance: AquaLOCK® doors provide 99.9% protection against water penetration for up to 24 hours at a water height of up to 5,000 mm, as per ift standards.
  • Leakage Certification: The doors are certified for zero leakage at a maximum water height of 5,000 mm during EVH testing.
  • Long-Term Testing: No leakage was recorded over 13 days of testing by ift, with only minimal water ingress observed after prolonged exposure.

Like all AquaLOCK® products, our doors have successfully passed rigorous testing for water- tightness and flood protection and have been certified by leading industry authorities. They comply with the highest performance standards and hold certifications from TÜV Süd, the European Flood Protection Association (EVH), the ift Rosenheim Institute, and UL in Montreal. Additionally, UL has awarded them the highest classification for hurricane protection, confirming their ability to withstand extreme weather conditions.

The AquaLOCK® Door is precision-engineered to match the exact dimensions of the opening down to the millimeter, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal flood protection. To eliminate measurement errors, we provide standardized measurement sheets that guarantee accuracy and reliability.

The AquaLOCK® Door: Tested and Certified for Maximum Safety

Tests conducted by the renowned ift Rosenheim Institute use clean water to assess performance. However, real floodwaters contain dirt and debris, which can further enhance the door’s sealing effect by blocking any microscopic gaps.
 

In practical terms, “flood-resistant” means that, even under extreme conditions, no more than 240 litres of water can penetrate over 24 hours—an exceptionally low amount compared to the thousands of litres exerting pressure on the structure.

Thermal Insulation Options

AquaLOCK® doors can be procuced in a thermally insulated version, improving energy efficiency with a U-value of 1.5 W/m²K. Both door panel and frame are build with thermally insulated profiles; the door panel is insulated with a mineral core material, optimizing thermal performance and reducing energy loss.

Enhanced Security Features

The AquaLOCK® Door is built with a strong, durable structure to provide a high level of baseline security. For enhanced burglary resistance, it can be upgraded to RC2 or RC3 classifications, incorporating drill-resistant lock cylinders and advanced locking mechanisms. These upgrades align with police recommendations for securing residential properties.

Locking Variants

AquaLOCK® doors come with four locking configurations, offering flexibility for flood resistance and ease of use:
  • V1: Internal handle and cylinder; flood protection activated internally. Maximum protection: 3,000 mm or 5,000 mm with additional features.
  • 2: External and internal handle and cylinder; flood protection activated internally. Maximum protection: up to 1,600 mm (adjustable cylinder height).
  • V3: External knob and cylinder, internal handle and cylinder; flood protection activated internally. Maximum protection: 3,000 mm or 5,000 mm with additional features.
  • V6: External and internal handles and cylinders; flood protection activated both internally and externally. Maximum protection: 1,600 mm or 5,000 mm with additional features.
