The AquaLOCK® Flood Protection Door: Versatile Applications in Commercial and Public Sectors

AquaLOCK® flood protection doors offer a wide range of applications in commercial, industrial, and public facilities, providing critical protection against flooding and extreme weather events.
One key application is in hospitals, where AquaLOCK® doors safeguard server rooms that house life-supporting medical technology. By ensuring the uninterrupted operation of essential systems even during floods and heavy rainfall, these doors contribute to the safety and well-being of hundreds of patients.
Similarly, AquaLOCK® doors are widely used in municipal infrastructure, including:

For enhanced security and operational safety, AquaLOCK® doors can be equipped with:
Panic bars and emergency exit locks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations in high-traffic public buildings.
Corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction, designed for use in:

AquaLOCK® Portal: Advanced Flood Protection for Properties and Buildings

The AquaLOCK® portal offers a wide range of applications in both commercial and industrial sectors. For instance, in situations where doors cannot be replaced, a portal that opens outward effectively secures building access against heavy rainfall and flooding. When the risk of flooding is not present, the portal can be easily rotated 180° outward, resting flush against the building wall. Unlike mobile barriers, the key advantage of the AquaLOCK® portal is its constant readiness for deployment, eliminating the need for transportation and setup when flood protection is required.
With a maximum width of up to 5,200 mm, AquaLOCK® portals are also suitable for securing truck access points. Customized solutions — for example, for applications in biogas plants — are also available. All portals can be designed to open either inward or outward, depending on project

The AquaLOCK® Quickwall: Mobile and Versatile Traditional flood protection systems made of individual slats require complex assembly in an emergency

In contrast, the AquaLOCK® Quickwall, made from a single piece, is ready for use with just a few simple steps.

With optional center and corner posts, the AquaLOCK® Quickwall can also be used flexibly outside building openings, for example, to protect machines from extinguishing water or to prevent environmentally harmful substances such as operating fluids or lubricants from contaminating the water in case of fire.

The AquaLOCK® Flap: Efficient Protection for Smaller Openings

In many industrial and commercial buildings, as well as in public buildings such as swimming pools, there are smaller service and maintenance openings that are only rarely used — for example, for annual inspections or cleaning of the space behind them. The AquaLOCK® hatch reliably protects such openings up to a size of 1,300 x 1,300 mm against water ingress.

Our hatches are available with or without hinges and can be operated easily and safely thanks to the screw levers. For use in highly corrosive environments, such as areas exposed to chlorine or saltwater, we recommend the stainless steel version.

The AquaLOCK® Sectional Door: Easy Operation and Optimal Protection for Large Halls

Large hall doors are typically designed as roller or sectional doors, as these are best suited for frequent daily use. To ensure effective flood protection for such openings as well, we have developed a Maxi version of our AquaLOCK® sectional door. As with our sectional door for residential use, the first panel of the commercial version is also reinforced, and the door is equipped with our successfully tested safety system. This allows us to achieve a protection height of 700 or 800 mm, with a maximum width of up to 8,000 mm. Please note that this version is not yet available, as additional testing and certification processes are still ongoing. A definitive release date for the commercial version of our AquaLOCK® sectional door has not yet been set — we will keep you informed and announce the official launch as soon as it is finalized!
