Since 2011, the AquaLOCK® Up-and-Over Garage Door has provided proven flood protection for garages and underground parking entrances across Europe, with thousands of successful installations. Engineered for durability and efficiency, it is available in two material options: galvanized steel or stainless steel. Upon request, the galvanized version can be configured to provide flood protection up to 500 mm.
For gates up to 3,100 mm in width and 2,500 mm in height, a single press of a remote control automatically closes the door, ensuring immediate flood protection. For larger gates—up to a maximum width of 5,200 mm—the protection height is limited to 500 mm to prevent excessive weight on the gate panel. In such cases, additional locking mechanisms must be engaged to ensure complete flood resistance.
The AquaLOCK® Up-and-Over Garage Door can be fully customized, with options for any RAL color, stainless steel accents, or wooden cladding. Additional features, such as integrated light strips or ventilation grilles (essential for underground garages), can be installed in the upper section of the door to enhance functionality.
With an AquaLOCK® Up-and-Over Garage Door, 99.9% of floodwater is kept out, delivering up to 24 hours of protection at a maximum flood protection height of 1,600 mm, depending on the door’s dimensions.

The AquaLOCK® Up-and-Over Garage Door has been rigorously tested and certified by the renowned ift Rosenheim Institute, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards. These strict ift testing protocols apply not only to the Up-and-Over Garage Door but to all AquaLOCK® flood protection solutions.
Tests conducted by the ift Institute use pure clear water to assess performance. However, in real-world flood conditions, contaminants and debris in the water enhance the door’s sealing effect by naturally blocking microscopic gaps that might otherwise allow seepage.
In practical terms, “flood-resistant” means that, even under extreme conditions, no more than 240 litres of water can penetrate over 24 hours—a negligible amount compared to the thousands of litres exerting pressure on the structure.
